Three bedrooms, full wraparound porch, cedar shake, built with the homeowner over fourteen months.
The home sits on a quiet wooded lot, tucked into Douglas firs and native understory planting. The architect brought us in early, before drawings were finalized, which let us think through the framing sequence and the cedar shake detailing together.
Fourteen months from groundbreak to keys. Reclaimed vertical-grain fir on the main floor, honed soapstone counters, and a single steel beam that lets the kitchen open onto the porch without a column.
