A 1960s waterfront cottage with good bones and a tired second story. We worked with the owners and their architect to add a master suite, a screened porch, and a stair tower that opens the whole back of the house to Puget Sound.

Existing trusses were preserved where possible. New cedar siding was hand-stained on site to match the weathered grey of the original. From the water, the addition reads as if it had always been there.
